Future Roadmap

Pegasus

  • Pegasus V - explore apogee chaos + test gumstix controlled simple morse code over 434 mhz transmitter (onboard - phone, radio, gps, digital compass, accelerometers, camera)
  • Pegasus VI - Develop 2 way communication - 434mhz 10mW downlink + 868mhz 250mW uplink - simple payload - if accelerometers + digital compass work on Peg V they will be come standard. No camera.

Parawing Return To Base Recovery System Development

  • General Kite flying (develop kite lifting body)
  • Develop cutdown (both r/c and timer)
  • Very Low Altitude Drops of parawing + dummy payload - explore falling/landing
  • R/C parawing - + landing:
    • Kite drops
    • Balloon at 1000ft
  • Gumstix powered and GPS guided Parawing:
    • Kite drops
    • Balloon at 1000ft
    • Balloon at 5000ft
    • Balloon at 10,000ft
    • Balloon at 25,000ft
    • Balloon at 40,000ft
    • Full Balloon Test
