Parawing Parawing - Self-inflating flexible wing invented by Francis & Gertrude Rogallo in 1948. Also known as the known as the “Rogallo wing” - although this term is most often applied to the version that has an A frame.

Several versions of the Rogallo wing were developed by NASA in the 1960 - these are numbered - as in NPW5 (NASA Para Wing No 5) NASA Parawings

Parafoil Parafoil - a nonrigid (textile) airfoil with an aerodynamic cell structure which is inflated by the wind. Developed by Domina C. Jalbert in 1964
