The UK High Altitude Society Conference 2019
The 2019 UKHAS Conference will be held on Saturday the 7th of September 2019 at
The Invention Rooms, 68 Wood Lane, White City, London W12 7TA
which is part of Imperial College's White City Campus London.
The Invention Rooms are situated about 150 meters to the north of White City Underground Station - on the East side of Wood Lane (the same side as the underground).
We will be using the The Interaction Zone Cafe area - the entrance is on the South side of the building on the corner of Wood Lane and Depot Road as shown in the pictures above. Entrance here: 51.513032, -0.225077

Rail & Tube travel
The nearest tube station is White City (Central Line) which is about 150m south of the venue entrance.
The next nearest tube station is Wood Lane (Circle and Hammersmith & City lines) is a further 150m to the south of White City.

A YouTube live stream will be available at: LiveStream Theoretically you can ask questions via YouTube comments.
Pico Balloon Launch
At the end of the conference we will be launching some foil Pico Balloons from Wormwood Scrubs - just 10mins walk up the road. Helium will be available if you want to bring your own. We will be limiting flights to the foil balloon variety (not the larger latex balloons).
This launch has been cancelled due to the wind direction taking the flight south - cutting through the Heathrow approach.

Tickets
Tickets cost £10 each (£7 concession for students*). Price included reception coffee/tea, lunch and admission.

Overnight Accommodation
Recommended: Imperial College student accommodation is open for the public during the summer. The closest IC accomadation to the conference venue is Woodward which is just one stop away on the Central Line.
