CUSF Hourly Flight Predictor Install

The hourly predictor is a handy bit of software that runs on linux and can produce hourly flight forecasts for up to a week in the future. This is a very useful feature as it allows you to pick the best date and time to launch.

Examples can be found here.

The installation is reasonably straightforward to anyone with a basic knowledge of Linux, but could still be followed by a beginner using the video tutorial. The installation onto a VMware Player virtual machine will take around 30-45 minutes depending on your connection speed, processor and how fast you can type!

Please watch the VIDEO TUTORIAL and use the INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS for reference for the time being while I type up some proper instructions.

This installation uses CentOS 6.3, but may well work on other versions of Linux if you want to try! VMware player can be downloaded here.

Good luck!
